Best over the counter sleep aid pill?

I can’t sleep at night, when I finally get to sleep (usually around 6 or 7 am) I wake up anywhere from 3-6 times. I dont wake up til about 3:30 in the afternoon and its a pain in the butt because I can’t get anything done during the day. does anyone know any really good over the counter sleeping pills? and i mean they have to be like extra extra strength because nothing i have tried so far has made me tired.

Try using good sleep hygiene methods first. You seem to have got into a routine of sleeping from 6/7am until 3:30pm.

It’s not an easy option, but you could set yourself a routine whereby you only allow yourself to sleep between set hours (eg 11pm-7am). If you haven’t slept by 7am, then suck it up because you won’t be able to sleep again until 11pm that evening (trust me, by then you will be tired enough).

A less strenuous but slower option is to move your waking time back by an hour each day, so set an alarm for 2:30 and make sure you get out of bed when it goes off.

Don’t take naps in the day, even if you are tired. Go outside and get some fresh air instead (exercising early in the day will help you sleep). If you have a TV in your bedroom, move it out, and make sure your bedroom is dark and cool. Avoid caffeine after midday and don’t eat very late in the evening as this can keep you awake.

It sounds very rigid, but this is a much better long-term solution than sleeping tablets.
